DESCRIPTION
Technical Information:
Mapesil 300°C is a soft paste which reacts with atmospheric humidity and gives off acetic acid to form a flexible, adhesive rubber material. Application and polymerisation of Mapesil 300°C must take place at the surrounding temperature until the section of sealant completely hardens. Only when hardened may it come into contact with high temperatures. Mapesil 300°C is a flexible sealant which contains special fillers resistant to high temperatures, although it is not suitable for contact with direct flames.
Where To Use:
Mapesil 300°C is a flexible, acetic-reticulation silicone sealant characterised by its resistance to high temperatures. Suitable for flexible seals which resist continuous temperatures up to +300°C. Specifically developed to seal flues, boilers, industrial and domestic ovens, pipe-work and conduits subjected to high temperatures when in service. Some application examples Flexible seals for joints and fillets on components subjected to high temperatures when in service, such as: · flues; · ovens; · chimneys; · radiators; · barbeques; · high temperature pipe-work; · heat exchangers and boilers. Mapesil 300°C bonds to all non-absorbent, non-oxidising substrates after cleaning and de-greasing the contact surface. Apply a coat of Primer FD beforehand on absorbent alkaline surfaces.
